THE DICK CLEGG - HOWIE STEIN MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

13th Annual Dick Clegg - Howie Stein Golf Tournament will be held on Monday July 30th, 2012. Mark your calendars!

The 12th Annual Dick Clegg - Howie Stein Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Monday, August 1st, 2011, 9:30am, at the Easton Country Club, 265 Purchase St., Easton, Ma. 02375. We had 63 golfers (although down 5 foursomes from 2010) who had a great time under a warm and sunny sky. The golfers included Hall of Famers Dr. Bob Wilkinson, Scooter Govoni, Derek Grudinskas, Greg Digirolamo, Jack Fahey, & Walt Mortimer.

HOF President Walt Bentson once again did the administrative work along with Tournament Chairman Greg Digirolamo, who handled the pre tournament registration. The golfers were given a gift bag and treated to a continental breakfast before teeing off at 9:30am. A nice italian buffet luncheon was served when all the golfers returned to the clubhouse after their round. We concluded with a fund raising raffle, which almost all participated in. We thank Mary Ellen Grossman, Richie Clegg, Walt Bentson, and Walt Mortimer for donating a number of gift/ prizes for the raffle.

The golf course was in excellent condition, and we congratulate Tom & Mark Lombardo of the Easton Country Club for a job well done, as well as the service provided to the Boston Park League guests throughout the day.

The BPL wishes to sincerely thank the players for their participation, and the sponsors (who's signs were all over the golf course) for their continued support, once again insuring us a successful tournament.
